Tel Aviv-based Garden City Movement are a trio consisting of Roi Avital, Yoav Saar, and Johnny Sharoni, who make indie electronic pop jams. The band released their debut album Apollonia in March, after a string of acclaimed EPs. “Before I Fall” is the slick single off the album with floating, hazy vocals from Avital. The trio has said this about Apollonia: “After releasing three EPs, which each had a very tight deadline, recording the album has been a chance to grow. It’s the first time we have been able to really take the time and experiment a lot in the studio; try to develop and deepen our language, come up with new sounds, and take our techniques even further.” Apollonia is out now on BLDG5 Records.
