Yuno has been in no rush to put out music. The Jacksonville, Florida musician first came onto the scene in 2010 under the name unouomedude with the EP Marsh. His Local Natives meets Wavves meets Tame Impala sound created a fervent underground following in the indie rock scene. Since then he's released roughly a song a year, every release meticulously put-together, with cohesive artwork and a fine-tuned single produced, recorded, and engineered by himself. Last month, Yuno took the giant leap from elusive Bandcamp artist to Sub Pop signee with the dream pop single "No Going Down." Shabazz Palaces' Ish Butler was the pusher for the signing, saying Yuno has a "seductive magic" about him and "possessed all the trappings of a great musician." An album is set to follow "No Going Back" but no release details have been revealed. The single comes with a pastel-colored video, true to Yuno's aesthetic, completely filmed, edited, and directed by Yuno himself.
