The culture of these lands that resonates historically between salsa, cumbia, reggae and calypso has managed to blend very well with powerful and experimental new sounds - like the current indie rock scene in Costa Rica; the fusion of indigenous roots with pop and electronic music that El Salvador is generating; high octane feminist protest songs that come from Guatemala; and the deep, diverse and emerging waters of Honduras and Nicaragua.
