KEXP: Wow, this place looks great. When did this redesign happen?
KEXP.ORG: You're funny! Our new site has been a work-in-progress for a while. With years of KEXP content and new functions to integrate, there's been a lot happening behind the scenes.
KEXP: I feel so fancy! How does that new player at the top of the screen work?
KEXP.ORG: The live stream is right at the very top of the screen. In addition, all the content you've come to expect from KEXP is grouped under Listen, Watch, and Read.
Listen leads visitors to all audio-related material including podcasts, archived podcasts, shows, DJ profiles, and, of course, the weekly station schedule.
Watch lets visitors access a curated selection of KEXP’s exclusive videos including featured , classic in-studio performances, and footage from festivals KEXP video team has visited like, OFF Festival, Iceland Airwaves, Upstream, and Trans Musicales.
Read is a portal to KEXP’s extensive written content including Song of the Day, music news, show and album reviews, and special columns like our local music spotlight Throwaway Style and Review Revue.
KEXP: How do you attend an in-studio or just drop by to hang out at the Gathering Space?
KEXP.ORG: On the right side of the screen is a trio of links: Events, Visit KEXP, and Donor Lounge. These should help visitors learn about in-studios, get an overview of KEXP’s events, find directions to the station, and learn how to become a donor.
KEXP: Any known issues we should look out for in the new site?
KEXP.ORG: Glad you asked! As you know, it took a while to get the new KEXP.ORG ready to share with the public. Even with all that detail-oriented work, there are sure to be small issues and fixes now that we’ve gone live. Many functions only going to get better so stay tuned for updates and fixes. For now, you can be sure that we are addressing any problems that come up as quickly as we can.
