  • Surprise! Thom Yorke has released a new solo album titled Tomorrow's Modern Boxes! Instead of sneaking it onto your iTunes, he and producer Nigel Godrich announced they'll be using a new version of BitTorrent to distribute the release. In an open letter they co-authored, they state "If it works well it could be an effective way of handing some control of internet commerce back to people who are creating the work." Check it out below: [Pitchfork]

  • Father-son duo Tweedy share a star-studded video today for the track "Low Key" off their debut album, Sukierae. Directed by actor Nick Offerman (YES, Ron Swanson on Parks And Recreation), the clip features guest appearances from Michael Shannon, John Hodgman, Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter, Chance The Rapper, Mavis Staples, Steve Albini, and probably some more. • NYC duo The Juan MacLean share an artistic new video for the track "A Simple Design," off their brand-new third album In A Dream. Watch producer/musicians John MacLean and Nancy Whang in this clip, directed by The Wilderness, below. [Under the Radar]

  • Pre-sales have begun for a 6-DVD box set from R.E.M. documenting their 30-year history with MTV. Cleverly titled REMTV, the set will feature live performances (like the one featured below), award show highlights, and television appearances, as well as a new documentary about the band. REMTV is due out November 24th via Rhino Records. [Consequence of Sound]
