This Nashville-based singer-songwriter’s debut album is a promising set of eclectic roots-rock ranging from Chuck Berry-inspired rockers to country-tinged ballads, featuring a rich, soulful sound with electric and acoustic guitars, piano, organ, pedal steel and a rock-solid rhythm section accompanying his grainy vocals and dark, well-crafted lyrics of relationships falling apart. 12/10/2012
