While their ill-fitting name conjures b-movie stereotypes, this British band specialize in dark and dreamy post-punk that’s closer in sensibility to David Lynch than Russ Meyer. Their promising debut album features an atmospheric, reverb-drenched sound with weirdly tuned, shoegazerish guitars, strange, occasionally unsettling percussive effects and Suzanne Azoria’s haunting vocals. 1/25/2012
