This young Australian band debuts with this confident, fully formed album of vibrant tunes steeped in the classics, ranging from blistering, Nirvana-influenced guitar-rock to summery psychedelic-pop gems reminiscent of the Beatles' later work. They do it all with the brashness and energy of a young garage-rock band and an attention to craft more likely to be found among the great ones. They may not be quite there yet, but this is one incredible debut. 7/15/2002
