This solo project from one of the frontmen for eccentric Austin roots-rockers the Gourds features a variety of his typically quirky (and sometimes downright bizarre) songs accompanied by members of the Gourds along with other Austin folks like their friends the Damnations, ex-Bad Liver Mark Rubin and Jon Dee Graham. The music's a ragged yet soulful blend of rock, country, old-timey, swamp blues, Dixieland jazz, bluegrass and more that should please Gourds fans. 7/15/2002
