Chuck Campbell is one of the premier sacred steel players (electric steel is featured in the worship services of a few black holiness churches), and his bluesy, inventive playing is the highlight of this wonderful album. Joining him and the rest of the Campbell Brothers band is gospel singer Katie Jackson, whose earthy, Mahalia-influenced shouts are featured on a number of the songs.
