At midnight tonight, James Blake is releasing his fourth studio album, Assume Form. As a last-minute release, Blake has shared “Mile High,” which features rapper Travis Scott spitting rhymes and beatsmith Metro Boomin contributing additional production while Blake’s haunting vocals float in and out. “Mile High” is the second track on the 12-track album, which is heavy-handed with features including contributions from André 3000, Rosalía, and Moses Sumney.

Assume Form follows 2016’s The Colour In Anything and came in at number 3 on KEXP’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2019 list. James Blake will make a stop in Seattle on Sunday, March 10 to play the Moore Theatre. Listen to “Mile High” and watch Blake’s 2013 KEXP in-studio performance below.
