Mitski has unveiled a music video for “Washing Machine Heart” off of her superb fifth studio album, Be the Cowboy. Released earlier this year, the album is centered around themes of loneliness and longing for love. That concept is exemplified in the black and white noir-style video for “Washing Machine Heart” where Mitski plays a femme fatale pining for a kiss. The Tidal-exclusive via was directed by Zia Anger, who helmed Mitski’s video for “Geyser” and shot videos for Angel Olsen, Zola Jesus, Jenny Hval, and Beach House.

Watch the video for “Washing Machine Heart” as well as Mitski’s 2017 KEXP in-studio performance below.
