  • Ever since their Iceland Airwaves KEXP session, we've been excited for more new music from Operators (featuring Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade, Divine Fits, and Handsome Furs), and today they share the single for "Cold Light," which you can stream below. It's a sneak peek at their forthcoming sophomore release, Blue Wave, produced by Holy Fuck’s Graham Walsh. The album hits stores April 1st via Last Gang Records, and the band hits Seattle on Monday, April 4th, playing The Sunset. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Next month, Brooklyn duo School of Seven Bells will share a posthumous full-length, titled SVIIB, featuring songs written before the passing of band member Benjamin Curtis in 2013 to T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Today, you can stream the carefree, dance-floor jam "Ablaze." SVIIB hits stores February 12th via Vagrant. [Under the Radar]

  • Run the Jewels continue to pounce on their hilarious crowd-funded release Meow the Jewels, which features songs from their sophomore album re-worked with cat sounds. Today, they share a kaleidoscopic clip for the track "Meowpurrdy," a single that features guest "vocals" from internet celebri-cat Lil BUB. The video is oddly nightmarish and adorable, all at once. Watch below: [Spin]

  • It's an unlikely match, but it works: Canadian duo Purity Ring have taken the HEALTH single "LIFE" and give it a new spin, with additional vocals from Purity Ring’s Megan James. Somehow, Purity Ring lend a synthesized softness to the L.A. band's industrial sound. Listen below. [Consequence of Sound]
