English and German indie band Art Brut have shared their first single in seven years, “Wham! Bang! Pow! Let’s Rock Out!” The song is said to come from an upcoming album, slated for release this fall. No further details about the album have been shared yet. Art Brut’s last album was 2011’s Brilliant! Tragic!.

The lineup has changed slightly since then, with guitarist Jasper Future and drummer Mikey Breyer departing the band. Frontman Eddie Argos says the new song is about making friends and states this about Art Brut’s return: “Watch the fuck out! We’re back and very rejuvenated. Art Brut are coming to your party whether you want us to or not.” He continues on to explain what he’s been up to during the hiatus: “I moved to Berlin, I nearly died with Peritonitis. I was in a hospital for a bit. I had a son, I had a relationship that broke up. I wrote a comic, a memoir, a musical, and had a one man show.”

Below, listen to “Wham! Bang! Pow! Let’s Rock Out!” and watch Art Brut’s 2009 KEXP in-studio session.
