Every Monday through Friday, we deliver a different song as part our Song of the Day podcast subscription. This podcast features exclusive KEXP in-studio performances, unreleased songs, and recordings from independent artists that our DJs think you should hear. This week, we are featuring artists performing the 2015 Decibel Festival, which runs September 23-27. All songs are selected by DJ Sharlese. Sharlese’s pick for today is Sone's remix of "Lost" by Mike Gervais from the 2015 Converged Compilation on From0-1.

Mike Gervais - Lost (Sone Remix) (MP3)Says Sharlese...

Brian Sonnleitner, a.k.a. Sone, is one of my favorite local techno DJ and Producers. He co-owns a label called From 0-1. They put out the best techno releases that I really enjoy, and work a lot with local NW artists. Pretty much everything Sone produces is techno gold, and he definitely manufactures the techno bubble that gets into your ears and brain on the dance floor. This track is a remix he did of Mike Gervais’ "Lost", and it's perfect example of what you can expect from a Sone set. He is definitely not to be missed at the festival year! Catch Sone playing an exclusive live set at the DB After-Hours 1 showcase at Q Nightclub with Joseph Capriati and Paul Ritch on Thursday, September 24th.

Check out the entire Decibel Festival schedule here. You can also find out more about Sone on Facebook. You can also hear more of Mike Gervais on his Facebook page. And for comparison, here's Mike Gervais' original version of "Lost" before Sone remixed it:
