  • KEXP DJs are counting the days 'til the release of the new album from Swedish sister duo First Aid Kit. Their third full-length, Stay Gold, won't be out until June 10th on Columbia Records, but we've got this Swedish TV performance to tide us over in the meanwhile. Watch them perform the track "My Silver Lining" below: [Under the Radar]

  • Sub Pop labelmates Chad VanGaalen and The Head And The Heart have teamed up on a delightful animated video for the track "Summertime," off 2013′s Let’s Be Still. Watch VanGaalen's striking animations as violinist and backup singer Charity Rose Thielen takes the lead on vocals in this clip: [Stereogum]

  • They're not the only local band sharing a new video: local eight-piece Country Lips have shared the clip to "Black Water," off their forthcoming second full-length Nothing to My Name. They'll be celebrating that record release on Friday, May 9th at the Tractor Tavern, hosted by our own DJ Don Slack of Swingin' Doors, and you can hear a LIVE performance from the band on his show the night before, Thursday, May 8th, at 7:00 PM PT. [The Stranger's Line Out]

  • Stock up on black eyeliner: UK goths The Horrors have announced their US tour dates, including an October 18th stop at The Neptune in Seattle with Moon Duo. Halloween comes early! [Consequence of Sound]

  • Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, and Thurston Moore? Not only does that sound like an awesome dinner group, but it's the line-up on this cover of "Nobody's City," originally by Jeffrey Lee Pierce of The Gun Club. More amazing collaborations, from the likes of Debbie Harry, Primal Scream, Mark Lanegan, can be found on this tribute to the late punk-bluesman, Axels & Sockets: The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project, out now via Glitterhouse. [Pitchfork]

  • And finally, check out the video game The Junior Mint — a Seinfeld-influenced game where you play as either Jerry or Kramer while attempting to throw Junior Mints into an open surgery wound. It gets better: the iconic bass-line theme you hear in the background as you play is sung by none other than Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig! As if you needed another reason to play! [Pitchfork]
