For over twelve years now (not to mention the many years of hard-work they spent playing on the streets of Mexico City and Dublin to perfect their sound), guitar-wielders Rodrigo y Gabriela have been consistently cranking out classical improvisations, maintaining a steady sound while redefining what one can actually do with a guitar. Showing up at the Triple Door to play some songs off 9 Dead Alive for an exclusive session for KEXP's VIP Club, the duo blew the enthusiastic crowd off their feet with their newly mastered tracks. You can hear how everyone in the venue knows exactly when to clap, keeping the impressively technical tempo moving along, and there are moments when the two are achieving transcendence, illustrating just how powerful heart-felt performances can be for both the artists and their audience. ¿Te gusta? Of course you do!
