It's no wonder people can't help but use fiery rhetoric when describing Angel Olsen and her new album, Burn Your Fire For No Witness. Whether they're referring to the heated passion of her lyrics, her smokey voice or occasionally scorching melodies, listeners can't help notice the bright quality shining through the album's inner darkness. As the scope of her songwriting and her confidence in performing has grown over the past four years, so has her audience, and just before a sold-out show in Seattle, Angel Olsen brought her band to the KEXP studio for an incendiary set of new songs:
