You don’t need to be a Boy or Girl Scout to recognize that our new KEXP “Junior DJ” kids’ tee has plenty of merit. (Sorry!) With its eye-catching, outdoorsy green and yellow design, this fun T-shirt makes a perfect gift for the adventurous young music lover in your life, and it can be yours when you donate to KEXP today.

Seattle designer Chad Syme mulled over multiple ideas for this Spring Drive 2014 kids’ tee before an eleventh hour flash of inspiration. “Late the night before submitting all my concepts, I got to thinking about this new idea of creating a design that represented an exclusive club for kids who listen to KEXP,” he recalls.

How can you join this club? It’s easy. Simply make a gift of $100 or more during the Spring Fundraising Drive and you can choose the “Junior DJ” tee as your thank-you gift.

This isn’t Chad’s first time at the rodeo. He designs many of KEXP’s best-loved T-shirts (and hoodies and hats and belt buckles…). Chad became a KEXP volunteer and donor shortly after he discovered the station nine years ago. “I support KEXP both financially and with my time because I know how well the station makes use of all that,” he says. “More than any organization I've ever given to, I can both see and experience what KEXP does with listener donations.”

“From music discovery to inspiring me to help our community more, KEXP is far more than a radio station and the people who work and volunteer there are of a remarkable caliber,” he concludes. The feeling is mutual, Chad. Thanks for designing an amazing new kid’s tee to help power KEXP!
