  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis made an appearance on The Colbert Report last night to play "Same Love" and also dish on various questions about their independent release of The Heist, the music biz, fame, and how hip-hop is evolving from its misogynistic and homophobic past. Colbert asks the poignant question "Old rap people say things like 'F*** the police!' What do you want to do to the police?". Watch the clip to find out. The song appears on Animal Collective's upcoming remix EP Monkey Been to Burn Town, which is available on the 28th vi Domino. [CoS]

  • Vampire Weekend played six brand new songs on a BBC Raio 1 special at the Maida Vale studio. The hour-long radio spot also features some chit-chat with the band, as well as five songs from the last album. The whole thing is avaialble online for streaming. While you're at it, check out their Jools Holland performance from the same trip to the UK. [CoS]
