Public Radio Music Day 2020

This Thursday, April 16th, KEXP is proud to join stations around the country observing the first-ever Public Radio Music Day

Public Radio Music Day is a nationwide celebration uniting public radio music stations, fans, artists, and other members of the music industry to recognize public radio’s special role in America’s music scene.

Public Radio Music is made up of over 730 local public radio music stations serve communities across America, reaching a collective 20.5 million listeners weekly. The common thread is a true love of music, and a dedication to serving our listeners and artists by celebrating unique, independent, and emerging music that’s just not heard on commercial radio.

We’re also all working hard to serve our local communities during the current crisis – creating new online programming, responding in real time to our listeners, and programming the music you need to hear to get through this.
