When will my membership be due for renewal? Your membership expires one year from your last renewal contribution. We'll send you renewal notices starting a few months before that time. BTW the sooner you respond to a renewal request, the more money it saves KEXP in mailing costs, so please consider responding ASAP! If you have any questions, please call 866-903-KEXP or email us.
Will this gift automatically renew my membership? Yes. If you have any questions about your membership, please call 866-903-KEXP or email us and we will take care of your request personally.
Why did I receive a reminder when I already sent my contribution? Sometimes, your payment gets credited to your membership file after we send renewal notices or pledge reminders. If you have mailed or called in your gift already, you may receive another reminder. Please disregard the extra reminder and accept our apologies. Occasionally, your payment may not have been recorded as a renewal. If you are concerned, contact Membership at 866-903-KEXP or email us.
How can I change or update my credit card information? Just give Membership a call at 866-903-KEXP and we'll take down the new information. Please do not email your credit card # to us.
Will KEXP gives out my mailing address, phone number or email address? For KEXP’s complete privacy policy please click here. Please note that while KEXP does reserve the right to use member information for marketing purposes, KEXP currently does not or have any plan to rent, trade or sell member information.
How can I change my mailing address? If you move, please email us or call 866-903-KEXP with both your old and new mailing addresses. Your updated address information helps KEXP save money in mailing costs so please keep us in mind as you update information!
How do I get off your mailing list? Before you move, please email us or call 866-903-KEXP and ask to have all mailings stopped.
When will my thank-you gift arrive? If you requested a thank-you gift when you made your pledge, it should arrive within 6 to 8 weeks of the time we process your contribution. If it has been longer than that, please contact Membership at 866-903-KEXP or email us and we're happy to investigate. Please keep in mind that we rely on volunteers to package and ship thank-you gifts, and we appreciate your patience.
Help! My thank you gift arrived damaged! Of the hundreds of gifts KEXP mails out after each membership drive, a handful end up breaking en route to their new owners. If this happens to you, throw out the damaged item, and give us a call at 866-903-KEXP or email us with your name and mailing address. We'll mail you a new one right away, and thanks in advance for understanding.
Can I get thank-you gifts from past membership drives? It is sometimes possible to receive thank you gifts from previous pledge drives, depending on what we have left over. Email us or call membership at 866-903-KEXP to find out if a particular item is available and at what pledge level.
What is the best way to contact KEXP? For all the contact information, including email addresses, mailing address and driving directions, check out our contact page.
What is the recommended contribution for a basic membership? At KEXP we’re about inclusion, not exclusion, so every gift of any amount makes you a member. We have faith that members will give the most they can because they believe in the music and mission of this listener-powered radio station.
Is my contribution tax-deductible? Yes, your gift to KEXP is fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable by U.S. law, minus the fair market value of any thank you gifts requested. We will send you an acknowledgement letter for your contribution that can be saved for tax purposes. KEXP is not a tax-deductible charity in Canada. Tax statements are available by request.
How can I get a KEXP sticker or window cling for my car? The KEXP bumper sticker or window cling is mailed with all new memberships. If you are already a member and need a sticker for another car, or if you have a new, bare-bumpered car, please call Membership at 866-903 KEXP or email us and we'll mail you a shiny new one.
If you are not a member you may pick up a free sticker or cling at the station any weekday between 9am and 5pm or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to KEXP Membership, Attn: Stickers, 113 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.
My employer participates in the employee matching gift program. How do I enroll? You may be able to double your donation to KEXP. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, KEXP is eligible for many employers' Corporate Matching Gifts programs; as Friends of KEXP or through the University of Washington as part of an educational institution. Simply obtain a matching gift form from your Human Resources Department and send it to KEXP, along with your membership contribution: KEXP, Attn: Matching Gifts, 113 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.
Can I sponsor a membership for someone else? Yes, you can purchase a gift membership for someone else. You pay for the membership (at any level), and the other person receives the benefits. Please call 866-903-KEXP to arrange this.
How do I get invitations to live in-studios events? Members of KEXP who donate $500 or more each year are eligible to attend special live in studios as part of their membership thank you gift. If you are interested in supporting KEXP at the 500, Gold, or Platinum clubs, please contact Leesa Schandel, KEXP’s development director at 206-520-5817 or email Leesa.
How can I include KEXP in my estate plans? A planned gift for KEXP can be an outright gift, a life income gift, or a charitable bequest, and it can be made during your lifetime or at the time of death.
