A lineup shuffle has brought a stronger guitar emphasis to this Denver band's goth-Appalachian rock but they still sound like no one else. Like their previous releases, Secret South features a rich, doom-laden sound spiced with a variety of exotic instrumentation and David Eugene Edwards' strident vocals and apocalyptic lyrical imagery.
