A stunning debut album of well-crafted pop from this British singer-songwriter (real name Damon Gough). Bringing to mind other melancholy types with special gifts for melody like Nick Drake and Elliott Smith, Gough also possesses a Beck-like eclecticism encompassing everything from experimental lo-fi and orchestral pop to wispy folk and even a dash of funk.
