The debut album from one of the two new Seattle-based bands led by the ex-Bad Livers frontman (the other being the wildly eclectic Thee Heathen) seamlessly blends old-timey and bluegrass with other musical styles. The sound of the album is just gorgeous -- producer Wayne Horvitz did a wonderful job in bringing out the variety of textures in the instrumentation, and the songs are top-notch throughout.
