- (Rhymesayers)
The New York-born, San Francisco-based rapper’s first album in five years is a first-rate set of hard-hitting underground hip hop. While his previous albums featured production from Blockhead, Skelethon was solely produced by Aesop Rock, and he provides the album with a dark, edgy, percussion-heavy sound combining ominous keyboards, occasional rock guitars and turbulent beats accompanying his rapid-fire flow and cerebral, densely packed rhymes. (A few special guests also contribute, including Kimya Dawson, Rob Sonic and Hanni El Khatib.) 7/13/2012
