This Brooklyn hip hop crew follows up their acclaimed 2010 mixtapes Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man with their official debut album, and while it’s more song-oriented than the mixtapes, it’s nearly as dense and sprawling, with a variety of indie-rock, hip hop and electronic producers providing densely packed tracks with bigger but still mostly unorthodox beats accompanying smart, satirical raps that skewer racial stereotyping and hip hop convention with a dizzying onslaught of clever wordplay and pop culture references. 9/23/2011
