This 21-year-old British singer-songwriter’s third album is another powerful set of dark, smartly crafted folk-pop that’s also her most expansive recording to date, moving from jazz-tinged pop and tradition-steeped folk to Dylanesque folk-rock and primal blues-rock reminiscent of PJ Harvey on a variety of character-driven story songs exploring primal desires, mortality and other weighty themes. 9/13/2011
