- (What's Your Rupture?)
This teenaged Danish band debuts with a remarkable album of dark, lo-fi post-punk that takes in elements of early Wire along with Joy Division, Suicide, Mission of Burma and other pioneering punk noisemakers on urgent, tense, viscerally exciting songs using a potent combination of jagged, trebly guitar riffs, clattering, tempo-shifting rhythms and mostly buried monotone vocals for an unlikely but enthralling fusion of punk’s frantic energy with the atmospheric gloom of Joy Division. 6/23/2011
