On the follow-up to his acclaimed 2007 album Andorra, producer/multi-instrumentalist Dan Snaith (aka Caribou) heads in a more dance-oriented direction reminiscent of Junior Boys and Hot Chip with fluid, multi-layered tracks propelled by intricate disco and house rhythms. A variety of colorful and unusual instrumentation ebbs and flows, giving the album a deep, mysterious, late-night vibe enhanced with trippy shoegazerish textures and Snaith’s soft, ghostly vocals. 4/9/2010
