- (Interscope)
This Brooklyn band refuses to sit still for their 3rd album, which is their most immediate and also most satisfying record they’ve made. While their sound is still intricately arranged and densely produced, the songs are brighter and more joyful, even when the lyrical content is dark. The new album is also much more funky and dance-oriented than anything they’ve done before, with some songs containing strong echoes of Prince and Michael Jackson. 9/15/2008
