The debut full-length from this young British band is an adventurous set of propulsive post-punk, combining angular guitars and tense rhythms with shouted/spoken vocals for a sound that recalls the sterner, more experimental side of late ‘70s-early ‘80s post-punk (Gang of 4, Wire, the Fall, PiL), but also incorporating more modern influences ranging from hip hop to dubstep. 3/3/2008
