Formerly known as Amsterband, this Springfield, MO group adopted the name of the Missouri state park located in the Ozarks. Their 2nd album is a confident set of rootsy indie-rock combining a variety of well-crafted songs with excellent harmonies. At times the band’s sound recalls Kings of Leon (particularly Brian Roberts’ lead vocals), but other influences poke through, from backwoods gospel to the Replacements. 8/6/2007
