On their third and best album to date, this Victoria BC band combines elemental guitar and synth riffs with danceable beats, Steve Bays’ yelping vocals and catchy hooks galore for a relentless rush of manic pop-rock thrills. With numerous bands nowadays drawing inspiration from ‘80s New Wave, Hot Hot Heat remain one of the best. 4/1/2005
