This British band’s debut album is an often-explosive set of ultra-catchy, New Waveish pop-rock that brings to mind the Jam, XTC and Blur with its combination angular guitar and keyboard lines, excited vocals and monster pop hooks. While the albums flags a bit near the end, it’s loaded with lots of manic pop thrills. 3/7/2005
