While Seattle's Supersuckers love to have fun, frontman Eddie Spaghetti plays it mostly serious on his first solo album. There are a couple of humorous songs on this album of mostly covers, but the bulk of it is Eddie digging into a variety of country tunes with unabashed love and respect for the music. The sound's stripped-down and raw, with Eddie's weathered, slightly grainy voice being an effective vehicle for interpreting these barroom ballads and outlaw tales. 1/8/2004
