In two weeks, Death Cab for Cutie are releasing their ninth studio album Thank You For Today on Aug. 17 via Atlantic Records. Today, they’ve shared the third single from the album, “Autumn Love.” The song follows previously released singles “Gold Rush” and “I Dreamt We Spoke Again.” The new track may be the band’s best single so far, with a catchy chorus that will have you singing “Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh” halfway through your first listen. Thank You For Today follows 2015’s Kintsugi and is the first Death Cab album to not feature founding guitarist/producer Chris Walla. Recently, we unearthed audio from Death Cab for Cutie’s live in-studio at KEXP in 1998, back when we were still KCMU. Revisit that here and listen to “Autumn Love” below.
