Fugal is the alias of Korean-American DJ/producer Ted Shin. Ted was born in Chicago, grew up in Seoul and Seattle, and he’s been living in Berlin since 2016. A cutting-edge producer and deep-digging DJ, he holds a residency in the Seattle-based collective secondnature, focusing on diverse underground talent and DIY techno parties held in industrial spaces in Seattle as well as in the lush nature of the Pacific Northwest. His 2016 debut EP Oil Panes was the inaugural release for secondnature’s fledgling label, and his brand new EP Parallels was also released on secondnature this past February. Well-known for his legendary after-hours sets at local underground parties, Fugal has had recent international DJ gigs at Tresor in Berlin, Arena Berlin, and Ankali in Prague.
