Eleanor Friedberger, one-half of the indie duo The Fiery Furnaces, is releasing a new solo album early this summer called Rebound. Today, she’s shared the third single “Everything.” Friedberger says this about the song: "I tried to make a pop song about a complicated subject: Everything. People seem to really like the line: 'I mean two houses please.'" The single follows the previously released tracks, “In Between Stars” and “Make Me a Song.” Rebound follows 2016’s New View and is out May 4 via Frenchkiss. [ Under the Radar ]

 


Wavves released their debut self-titled album 10 years ago and, to celebrate, the San Diego indie band are releasing a special vinyl reissue on Record Store Day. Today, frontman Nathan Williams unearthed a leftover demo from the Wavves recording session called “All Star Goth.” The Wavves reissue is out tomorrow, March 21, on Williams’ Ghost Ramp label. The LP will be released on limited edition colored vinyl and be packaged with new artwork. [ Consequence of Sound ]

 


A new song from Xiu Xiu has been shared that features vocals from Mitski. Titled “Between the Breaths,” the song will appear on the soundtrack to John Cameron Mitchell’s upcoming film How to Talk to Girls at Parties. The movie is based on a short story by Neil Gaiman and premiered at Cannes last year. The film is set for release in the United States on May 18. Mitski’s last release was 2016’s Puberty 2 and Xiu Xiu released FORGET last year. [ Pitchfork ]

 


Welsch musician Cate Le Bon and White Fence’s Tim Presley have partnered up again for a second DRINKS album, Hippo Lite. Today, they’ve released the album and shared a video for the second single off the album, “Corner Shops.” Yesterday, it was revealed that Le Bon would be producing the new Deerhunter album. Hippo Lite is out now on Drag City. [ Stereogum ]
