Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile have unveiled a new half-hour documentary called Friends of Wonder, documenting their performance at the Loew's Theatre in Jersey City during their Lotta Sea Lice tour this past fall. Directed by Irene Chin and Kurt Vincent, the doc covers the history of the theatre and the restoration efforts from the creative community in the city, as well as a behind the scenes look at how the venue operates intercut between footage of Barnett and Vile's performance and interviews with the duo. Lotta Sea Lice is out now on Matador. [ Paste ]

 

 

Swedish electronic band Little Dragon have shared the B-side for their upcoming 12-inch release, "Best Friends." The synthy jam recalls a childhood friendship with someone who moved away, yearning for reconnection. It follows the A-side "Sway Daisy," which was released last week. The Sway Daisy/Best Friends 12" will be out April 20 via Loma Vista. [ Consequence of Sound ]

 

 

 

 

 

Lost Under Heaven, formerly known as LUH, have shared a new song "Breath of Light" today. The emotional, melancholy anthem is the first we've heard from them since their 2016 debut album Spiritual Songs for Lovers to Sing. Lost Under Heaven is led by former WU LYF frontman Ellery James Roberts along with visual artist Ebony Hoorn. [ Under the Radar ]

 

 


Indie/emo quartet Sorority Noise have announced that they'll be taking a hiatus following their upcoming UK/US tours. Frontman Cameron Boucher released a statement, saying: "I consider each person in this band and crew to be a member of my family and I love them with every ounce of my being but I think it’s in my heart and mind’s best interest to take a break from the band for a while." He went on to announce that YNAAYT, the acoustic reinterpretation of last year’s You’re Not as _____ as You Think, is streaming now a week ahead of schedule.
