San Francisco experimental indie band Deerhoof have contributed a cover of Madonna's "Live to Tell" to a new benefit compilation called Post - Trash: Volume Three. The proceeds of the compilation are benefitting the Maria Fund, which is a relief agency to help those affected by the hurricane in Puerto Rico last year. Deerhoof's take on the Madonna hit originally appeared in 2016 on a limited-release mixtape called The Magic but hasn't been widely available until now. Other artists included on the 51-track benefit compilation include Gun Outfit, Strange Relations, Gemma, and LVL UP side project Spirit Was. Deerhoof released their latest album Mountain Moves last fall. Post - Trash: Volume Three is out now. [ Under the Radar ]

English pop star Lily Allen returned last month with a new song "Trigger Bang" with English rapper Giggs and today the song's video has been unveiled. Directed by Myles Whittingham, the video takes the rapper and singer back to their old lives of non-stop partying, for Allen, and being a street kid, for Giggs. Allen has announced that the song will appear on a new forthcoming album, No Shame, due out early summer via Warner Bros. [ Consequence of Sound ]

Psychedelic quartet Wooden Shjips have announced that they're releasing their fifth album, aptly titled V., this May. They've also shared the album's lead single "Staring At The Sun." The nearly 8-minute track was written this summer in Portland when frontman Ripley Johnson was watching the wildfires and resulting smoke ravage the Pacific Northwest. V. is following 2013's Back To Land and will be released May 25th on Thrill Jockey. [ Stereogum ]

Mercury Prize-nominated band Field Music are gearing up to release a new album, Open Here, in a couple of weeks. Today they've shared the third single, the very funky and rather considerate "Share A Pillow." Set to the beat of Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl," the song was inspired by frontman Peter Brewis' son wanting to sleep in his bed rather than on his own. The song follows previous singles "Count It Up" and "Time In Joy." Open Here is out February 2 on Memphis Industries. [ Noisey ]
