Sam O.B. is the latest alias of Brooklyn-based musician Samuel Obey, formerly known as Obey City, also the co-founder of the stellar Astro Nautico label. A constantly evolving musician and in-demand collaborator who's well-known for his versatile talents in the studio, Sam O.B. recently released his debut full-length album Positive Noise on LuckyMe Records, confidently exhibiting his recent turn towards an arty and infectious 80s-steeped synth-pop sound. His exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a groovy journey through warm, soulful, and slightly psychedelic sounds ranging from dreamy synth-pop to lush house rhythms to textured R&B jams.
