Fresh from her feature on this week's episode of "Twin Peaks," Sharon Van Etten has shared a remix to a track she wrote and released last year in honor of the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting, which happened one year ago yesterday. Titled "Not Myself," Etten explained the reasoning for its release: “During the journey of making this song and finding the best way to share it with the world, a fellow musician recommended I reach out to someone to remix the song to share with the club community. In this way, a version can exist where even more people can connect to this song in a more positive and healing light.” Proceeds from the track go towards the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund. The Drums have shared another song from their upcoming album "Abysmal Thoughts" (the quote marks are part of the title), which will be released this Friday June 16 via ANTI-. The new single is called "Mirror" and features guest vocals from Ioanna Gika of IO Echo. Frontman Jonny Pierce had this to say about the song in a statement: ""Abysmal Thoughts" is the first album where I am taking responsibility for myself...Maybe the problems in my adult life come from a broken place inside of me. Maybe I can't properly love because I don't really know who I am. Maybe people leave me because they have no other choice. This entire album felt like intense therapy and "Mirror" was the first session. My steady anchor through the entire recording process was my dearest friend, Ioanna Gika - she held my hand through all of it and so I thought it fitting to ask her to sing with me on this song." The War On Drugs have shared the music video for their recently released song, "Holding On." Directed by Brett Haley, with concept by Krysten Ritter, the video stars "The Wire"'s Frankie Faison along with the band's frontman Adam Granduciel. "Holding On" is the first single off their upcoming album, A Deeper Understanding, which will be out August 25 via Atlantic. The War On Drugs will be playing a two-night stint at the Moore on Monday, October 9th, and Tuesday, October 10th. [ Spin ]

Beloved shoegaze band Slowdive have announced a North American tour for this fall and Seattle's on the list! Starting in Vancouver B.C. and ending in Asheville, North Carolina, the band will make their Seattle stop on October 25th at the Neptune. Tickets are not yet available. [ Consequence of Sound ]

The Horrors have released their first new track in three years. Called "Machine," it was produced by Paul Epworth who has worked with Adele, FKA twigs, and Thurston Moore, and was recorded at the Church Studios. It's a slow-builder that stomps along with the Horrors signature darkness. No word on an upcoming album but The Horrors will be playing a handful of dates in Europe, Japan, and Mexico. [ Pitchfork ]
