Today is May 4th, or as its known in the pop culture world, Star Wars Day. This year's "holiday" is significant for two reasons: it's our first without actress Carrie Fisher, aka Princess Leia, who passed away late last year, and secondly, May 25th marks the 40th anniversary of the first film, Star Wars: A New Hope. Whether you're a fan of this long-running space odyssey or not, there's no denying its on-going influence on pop culture, including album and song titles, band names, and lyrics.

Or, in this case, a mash-up with another enormous influence, The Beatles. Parody duo Palette-Swap Ninja have spent the last five years crafting a song-by-song remake of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart’s Club Band as Princess Leia’s Stolen Death Star Plans, and the remakes are on point. Instead of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," you get "Luke is in the Desert and Whining." "Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" becomes "Being From the Spaceport of Mos Eisley." You get the idea. Listen below, and keep scrolling for more Star Wars-influenced music. May the 4th Be With You!
