  • Seattle's Car Seat Headrest is no stranger to covers: founder/frontman Will Toledo has previously taken on tracks by Radiohead and Bowie. Today, they add another musical icon to the list: The Smiths. Listen to his lovely, acoustic cover of "That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore" below. Car Seat Headrest play a kinda-close-to-hometown show at the Sasquatch! Music Festival on May 28th at The Gorge. [ Consequence of Sound ]

  • Just last week, we got a new song from Feist, and today, we get the video. Watch the clip for "Pleasure" below, the title track from her forthcoming full-length out April 28th via Universal. Director Mary Rozzi features Feist in a distorted, fun-house-mirror style lens, making her kinda look like Mayim Bialik (aka NBC's Blossom) in a few shots. Some tour dates have been announced, but nothing in Seattle yet -- stay tuned. [ Under the Radar ]

  • UK DJ Kieran Hebden -- better known to us as Four Tet -- gives his spin (heh) to The xx single "A Violent Noise." Listen below. He's previously taken on “VCR” from their debut LP, as well as “Angels” from Coexist. The xx will be LIVE on KEXP on Monday, April 24th at 1:00 PM PT, and playing WaMu Theatre later that night. And be sure to check out Four Tet's exclusive mix for KEXP's Midnight in a Perfect World series. [ Pitchfork ]

  • It's been a couple of years since the stand-out triple-LP The Epic from Los Angeles saxophonist Kamasi Washington. In the meanwhile, he's written a suite of music titled Harmony Of Difference for an installation at the Whitney Biennial, a collaboration with acclaimed video director AG Rojas. Check out a 14-minute slice of that below with the track "Truth." And now it's been announced the label Young Turks will turn the 37-minute piece into an EP -- no official release date yet, but stay tuned. [ Stereogum ]
