A long-awaited U-Men 2-CD set has hit the streets. KEXP Music Director Don Yates notes the compilation "collects the complete 1984-89 recordings of this legendary Seattle band, whose pre-grunge sound was a feral, adventurous blend of pounding post-punk, raucous Sonics garage-rock, psychobilly and more."

Daphni -- the dancefloor-focused project of Canadian producer/multi-instrumentalist Dan Snaith (aka Caribou, aka Manitoba) -- deliver what KEXP's Alex Ruder describes as "cerebral house grooves that fuse hypnotic rhythms with immersive analog synths, crafty looped samples, and body-moving beats. A majority of these songs were previously featured on Daphni's Fabricelive 93 mix in mixed format." Portland band Blitzen Trapper share "a solid set of expansive folk-rock inflected with psych-rock, power-pop, country-rock and more." Danish band Liima -- featuring members of Efterklang -- share "a fine set of prog-tinged electro-pop." British experimental electronic producer Bibio releases his eighth full-length studio LP, which he describes as "a collection of mostly improvised musical pieces, that for some years now, have provided me with a mental portal into places and times — some real, some imaginary, some a combination of both." And Billy Bragg shares a new EP of politically-inspired pop; read an in-depth review on the KEXP Blog here.
