Today’s song, featured on The Midday Show with Cheryl Waters, is “Bleed Over" by Seattle band Mhostly Ghostly from their 2017 self-released album, A Faceless Fiction.

Mhostly Ghostly – Bleed Over (MP3)

Everyday is Halloween for Bellingham duo Mhostly Ghostly. The ghoulish duo, comprised of Jeremy Blas and Simon Olander, may have only been functioning as an act since 2016 but the two share a lengthy mutual history as childhood friends. Maybe it's that bond that makes them such a fearsome act. Together, they craft garage-psych songs that they describe as “grappling with apathy, helplessness, fear, and self-doubt.” Today’s Song of the Day combines an anxious Krautrock rhythm with Thee Oh Sees-style sonic sounds. A Faceless Fiction is the band’s debut LP, following JR., an EP released last year.

You can follow the band via their Facebook page, and catch them on Saturday, August 19th at VanFest 7, held in Royal Arch Masonic Park in Maple Valley.
