  • Leave it to Father John Misty to explain America to us (hint: it's basically Go-Gurt). The catchier-than-it-has-any-right-to-be track details the ridiculous ways people die, and will be performed by an animated Mr. Misty on Adult Swim's Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio. The season finale airs this Sunday 9/18 at 11:45 PM EST, but you can get the song stuck in your head in advance below. [Stereogum]

  • Just last month, we shared new music from Swedish pop duo The Radio Dept., the first new music in six years. Today, we're excited to announce a 2017 nationwide tour, including a Tuesday, February 28th stop at Neumos. Their new LP Running Out of Love hits stores on October 21st through Labrador. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Multi-band troubadour Jack White (The Raconteurs, Dead Weather, White Stripes, what else is he in?) is pounding the pavement in support of his latest collection, Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, which led him to long-running UK show Later… with Jools Holland last night. Skip on over to the 3:57 mark to watch him revisit the 2002 White Stripes classic "We’re Going to Be Friends." (If you watch the whole thing, you can also catch Jimmy Page talking about the Led Zeppelin’s Complete BBC Sessions reissues, if you want.) [Under the Radar]

  • Speaking of new releases, M.I.A. has a few shows lined up in support of her latest AIM, including a Warehouse Project show in Manchester next Friday. Using Periscope, she's been streaming behind-the-scenes footage of her rehearsals, where she runs through Matangi’s "Bring the Noize" and raps over an instrumental version of Lil' Jon’s So You Think You Can Dance favorite "Turn Down for What." Watch below: [Pitchfork]
