  • Earlier this month, we announced that grunge supergroup Temple of the Dog were reuniting for the 25th anniversary of their debut, self-titled, and only LP. Well, now, according to an interview in Rolling Stone, it sounds like there might even be new music from the team of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and Matt Cameron. Cornell says, “We’d have to feel really great about the songs. It’s a scary thing. I don’t want to say they’d have to live up to the [first] album, but I wouldn’t want it to take away from it either. It was the same issue with reforming Soundgarden. I’m super excited about writing new songs as long as we don’t detract from what came before, and ultimately we did that. I think the same thing would apply to Temple.” The band play November 20th at the Paramount Theatre. Will Eddie Vedder be there? (I always forget he was a "guest vocalist" and not a full-fledged dog.) McCready replies, "I can’t say anything about that. I don’t know if he is, and that’s kind of up to him. I would love it if he did." Us, too, Mike. Us, too. [CoS]

  • On Friday, Bon Iver is set to perform at the Justin Vernon's own Eaux Claires music festival in Wisconsin. During their set they will debut their new album, which doesn't have an official title yet. The phrase "22 Days" seems to be significant in some way, watch the teaser trailer below. [Pitchfork]

  • Massive Attack scored some serious star power in the video for their latest single "The Spoils." Directed by John Hillcoat, the video focuses on Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett's face as it goes through an unsettling evolution. [Pitchfork]

  • Nashville band Lampchop will soon drop their new album, FLOTUS. Sadly, it isn't dedicated to Michelle Obama - instead, it stands for For Love Often Turns Us Still. Today, they've shared the lead single "The Hustle," an 18-minute spectacle that closes out the album. Check out the track and the album trailer. [Stereogum]
