  • Last night, during a performance at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, The National debuted a new song called "Prom Song 13th Century (Frankie and Johnny)". Joining them onstage was Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent, who added a unique element to the moody track. They ended the performance with an impromptu slow dance between Clark and Matt Berninger and it was adorable. [Pitchfork]

  • Banks & Steelz, the odd couple of Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA and Interpol frontman Paul Banks, will drop their debut album Anything But Words on August 26. The duo have shared their latest album track, "Sword In The Stone", which features surrealist rapper Kool Keith. It's nearly five full minutes of robust guitar rifts and intense, bizarre rap flows.   • On November 11, Pink Floyd will release a new box set called The Early Years 1965-1972. The set will feature live performances, studio outtakes, remixes and much more. So much more that the 27 disk (WOAH) collection boasts 11 hours of audio - 7 of which have never been released before - and 14 hours of video. Check out the ad below. [CoS]
